Rear Hatch Struts

Is there a lock out on it that would keep the strut fully extended even with my 200lb :ass: trying to compress it?

I opened the hatch last night and the strut was hanging by the hatch only so I took it off. When I have seen these fail generally they can no longer hold up the hatch, I have never see one get so stiff I cant compress it.

You have to be the only one I have heard of with this problem. I guess you just need new struts.

Sounds like something got misaligned or bent when it was disconnected. But yeah, i don't see any way its still usable if that is the case.
