Whilst its probably a lot less hassle, for me to just refit the post-update, longer cable to the new diff ....

I would appreciate some pics/info, of the pre-update, park brake equaliser, arrangement ... to ponder over.

i.e. this thing ...

Pre-Update stuff info, like ....

Where and how its mounted,
Length of cable to park brake lever differences, and
Any other useful bits of info about it that you blokes can think of.

Why ?????

coz the new diff has two brand spankers new, pre-update cables hanging off it ... and I get OCD about crap like that .. :D .... aaaaaaand I might have something else to fit under the floor where the current setup is. ;)

If I'm following, you want us to post pics and info of our own setups as shown in the diagram you already posted?

Okay, mate. Got some info for ya.

Its one rod coming out of the floor from the handle, through a boot, then connects to a threaded rod, which bolts to a bracket (for adjustment) that connects to the two separate cables that go to the rear brakes with a bracket on each cable before they leave being against the floor.

Here is where the rod comes through the floor. 215mm from the end of the bracket the rod pokes through to the back of the first bracket that connects the two cables.

Next is the front part of the cables where they bolt to the back of the bracket to the back of the two brackets that secure the front of the cables. That measures 240mm.

From there the cables run against the floor and have two springs holding them. They go straight to the brake backing plates. From the back of the two brackets (where i ended the last measurement) is 940mm.

Here is the two springs.

I went ahead and used metric, and these are just rough measurements as it was hard to hold the light, both ends of the tape measure, and the camera at the same time. :D Hope it helps.

Oh and this is from my '92 Laredo.

Good onya Cobber ... Exactly what I wanted ... and super quick reply ..

All appears doable ... but not in the time frame I had planned. :o

Will be handy for when I look at doing something about an aux fuel tank tho.

Much Appreciated ....
