Transfer case lever rattle

Hey all, when my jeep is in drive and sitting at a light my transfer case lever rattles. I am curious if this is a common issue and how I should fix it. Do I need to remove the console or go under the jeep? I am not very familiar with the way the lever works.

This happens every now and then... I would check all the littel gromets on the linkage underneath and maybe pull the shifter position indicator bezel our and see if there is anything missing or if a bolt on the pivot is loose.

You might also check the motor and transmission mounts. As they wear, they can transmit more vibration to the body and in this case, the linkage
