Just got my tension gauge.

What tension number should I be at?

So nobody really knows how tight the belt is supposed to be, isn't that why I have this brand new belt tensioner so I tighten it correctly? Someone must know.

I'm not sure how tight they should be, I just tightem em up till they stop squeeling. I guess to loose is not as bad as too tight.

I would advise looking this up in a book. Internet search is...

new belt 180-200 lbs
used belt 140-160 lbs

I personally use 110 to 120 lbs.

So basically it's all over the place and was why I didn't want to answer before.
