Ok so i had to replace my motor after miss judging a puddle. After putting the replacement motor in, it runs super rough. I was told its timing so i reinstalled the distributor exactly as the book instrucks. When i do that the rotor on the didtributor does not line up with the number 1 post on the cap. It sits about a qourt inch behind and will not start. So i tryed moving it one tooth. It starts when its a tooth off but very rought. Also when i move it a tooth it sits half way between number 1 and 5 on the cap. I asumed that ment the timing chain was stretched but after pulling it apart to check. The thetiming chain is fine. It missfiees bucks wile driving then shits off. I check the crank position sensor and it is working fine.

I think your computer is fine. You just have to get that distributor in correctly
