Is this oil safe to use?

Hi all, I have 3-4 year old unopened royal purple 75w90 and Mobil ATF sitting in my garage from my 91 XJ. I want to change my diffs and transfer case fluid after work but I want to confirm these are 1. not to old, 2. still the correct fluid for my 99'.

I have read mixed reviews on the type but most say unopened bottles shouldn't be a concern unless they are very old.

I had to re-read. Mobile ATF? For the transfer case? I've only ever used the Dex/Merc III. That's all I'd recommend putting in the transfer case or AW4.

If someone else has had experience good/bad with something else chime in!

Dextron for the tranny for sure. But any ATF will work for the transfer case and AX15 standard tranny

Yes Mobil ATF in the transfer case. I read the 99' TC is not picky on a specific ATF fluid as long as it's an ATF, not engine or gear oil. I ran Mobil ATF in my 91 XJ and it worked well, I assume the 99' would be the same.
