Awesome! With some luck (and a lot more wrenching on the XJ) we will see that part of the country this summer.
Did you get to run Black Bear?

great pics. One day, i'm going to load up the XJ and just leave for CO. absolutely love it. Loved it before, but now that I know it offers some of the country's best wheeling? Its over. I will live there.

I hear ya. I don't know if I could stomach the winters up there, but it would be nice to be able to summer up there and winter here in Texas every year. I think I could probably stomach that.
Standing there with my kids looking out at those mountains does more to refresh my soul and my faith in God than the top 12 sermons I ever heard in church.

Couldn't agree more. Pick up snowboarding. You won't mind the winters at all.

Me too. Is that another sign I'm getting old? They seem to be everywhere these days...

We have used several of the Colorado trail books, and have come to prefer Guide to Colorado Backroads & 4WD Trails (3rd Edition) (http://www.funtreks.com/index.php?Itemid=31&option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=3). You can download all of the waypoints referenced in the book for free (from the link above) and/or you can purchase all of the tracks. We did the latter, and uploaded them to our iPhones and to our DeLorme GPS. Highly recommended.
