I would love to say I did this while climbing over some rocks or something grand like that . But in reality I bumped into it while taking the trash cans out to the curb.
It looks like the PO broke it before and glued it back together. I went to the Junkyard and they were all broke too. Is there an upgraded mirror?
Before I put stock back on I'd rather glue it back up. I have access to some industrial cyanoacrylate adhesives, epoxies and resins.
I don't want to waste $ on something I'm just gonna brake again.

You could glue it back. However the break away feature was designed in so it would not be trashed by the trash guy LOL. The only problem is that the materials get brittle and break

I'd just go ahead and upgrade to the 97's.

The 97's are a direct fit.

I'd just go ahead and upgrade to the 97's.

That's what I did, too. The newer mirrors are bigger and easier to see out of. I like them WAY better than the stock '95 mirrors.

Plus for trails they fold in and don't spring back and possibly break off like the older ones.

My driver side was broken when I got it. I tried to gently pry off the plastic and take out the torx screw. the plastic broke and I still can't get to the last torx screw. How do I access the last one and replace it?

Ya gotta loosen and move the door panel, remove that little trim piece where the knob is, unscrew the mirror. Real easy. Oh, and this is for manual mirrors, never done the power ones.

i think I have power on my 98.... I don't care about power windows and prolly wouldn't even hook up the wire if I found one, just want to replace the broken mirror

Same thing. Just you have the wires coming up from in the door into the mirror. I just pulled up some slack and cut the wires. Then when I put the 97's in just spliced them together.

went to the junk yard again today. I could't find 2 97+ mirrors that weren't cracked or broken. I found these. They came of a 96 two door. They're not the breakaway kind, But they'll do. I just hope the're trash can resistant.

I finally installed em today, wish I could've found some 97+ . These will do for now, I couldn't stand driving around with that mirror dangeling.
