So I'm having a lot of trouble with my jeep lately. I'll be driving down the road and all of a sudden my RPM's suddenly drop and my jeep dies. Then sometimes after letting it sit for 15-20 minutes it will start back up again, and last night I had to get it towed back to my house because it wouldn't start again. A coworker who is a fellow jeeper told me today that it could be a sensor that connects from my firewall to the top of my bell housing. Does anybody know how I can find this sensor. I couldn't find it when i looked for after work.

That is the Crank Position Sensor. If it just dies, that is the first thing to suspect. It is located on the bell housing just under the intake manifolc

X 2 on Crank Sensor being a likely suspect.

The cam sensor in the distributor can give similiar symptons too ... but its generally crank sensor.
