Im from Michigan and I just bought a 2000 XJ Sport, this is my new toy and needs a little TLC, I have just recently pulled the radiator (looks to be plugged with Bars stop leak) would not put out any heat and the gentleman that I bought it from just replaced the water pump. So going to clean the entire cooling system. After looking a little closer I noticed a little oil leaking around head and valve cover so since I am wonder if the head might of had a leak for the bars stop leak that i just went the next step. I took the head off the engine and now in the process of having it checked for flatness and cracks. I will keep posts of any other changes or issues that I have with my XJ project. Glad to be a member!!!!!!!!!

Hey rick, welcome to xjtalk. I never use any kind of stop leak for that very reason. Hope ya get it all figured out, and if ya need any help don't hesitate to ask.
