Transmission jack

I just put a sye kit on a transfer case, and I'm ready to install it in the xj. Can someone tell me if a transmission jack is required to support the transmission, when I drop the existing transfer case. Or is there any other way to support it. Thanks Bob

Tranny jacks are real handy. I think you might be able to do it without one, but if you drop the tranny it will be much easier to get at all the bolts.

i have used rope racket strap.....works a treat cause ya got a drop em a bit to get at the top bolts.....
