Headlight conversion/upgrade (commander conversion )

i have a 1997 jeep cherokee im wanting to do the commander headlight conversion to ,but not sure of the pros and cons .or if there is a better upgrade thats worth doin instead .im more for the unique ,sleak ,but rugged look
any and all advice is greatly appreciated

The look is pretty cool, but you need some blinkers up front to be legal.

I would imagine there will be much modification needed to the core support....

You will probably need to upgrade your headlight harness regardless of which light you decide to use. I just upgraded the harness and use sylvania silvestar headlamps.

i thought about the blinker problem and was going to use a small motorcycle blinker in the bottom outside side where the headlight bends back in

Looks like a pretty cool upgrade. My only concern would be finding replacements for cheap if they were ever damaged. Those have a whole lot of real estate and were on a limited run Jeep. Good luck!

Just put the blinker in the grill. I really like the way that looks.

I actually like that one a little more than the commander style.
Something about round headlights on a Cherokee just "WORKS"

There's some on ebay that you may be interested in, they're... similar, in that they combined the turn signals with the headlights. Several sellers have em, just search - 97 cherokee projector headlights.

I honestly like the round headlights a bit more on the Cherokee as well... I guess mainly cause it isn't even close to looking like you know an XJ front end should look.... I also like that setup, because it is almost like going for the Range Rover look as far as the headlights go....

I like those. I wish there was more info on them such as number of lumens and true high beam etc
