While taking my weekly stroll thru my local pick and pull I came across these.

They’re the front shock mounts off a 94 Ford F 150. I’m thinking with a lil mod they’ll be perfect for replacing that pesky bar pin on the top of the rear shocks.
what do you think? Worth a try? Any foreseen problems?
Any problems with the top of the shocks rotated 90 degrees?

(trying to attach a pic hopes it works)

I think anything is possible and worth a try if you have the time.... I know some people make use of the rear sway bar end links where they connect to the rear springs as BPE's... so don't see why you can't do something with that...

rotating 90 degrees will change a direction of load to bushings, maybe affect to life of shock absorber bushing. I've made a steel angle one, so far so good :D

The hot deal for cheap bar pin eliminator is the rear sway bar attachment to the spring plate on the XJ. Supposed to fit perfectly. Changing the direction of the top bushing is not going to be good for it. The angle changes too much as the axle moves
