Being a NY vehicle, check for excess rust

The 99 is considered the best year of all. Nice hunk of iron on the front. LOL What is your ultimate purpose and build?

Gotta say that '99 would be the first i would check out. Of course check the usual and like Steve said look thoroughly for rust. N.E. rigs are known for it. But with those miles and the condition it looks to be in it would have my attention.

Although with that bumper, i know what my first purchase would be. :what:

ill deff have to check out that site thanks. my goal with the build is to have something that i can still daily drive...but be able to take down some logging roads, seasonal roads to my hunting cabin, and as always some good mud fun. lol any ideas as to what i should be looking for? maby as far as lift size...tire size things like that? thanks again guys. that one in syracuse is something i
had in my head...bit out of my price range right now though lol...

My position on buying a Jeep is to buy stock. You just never know what somebody has done that will give you fits later. I have looked at so many rigs that had stuff like brake lines hanging out in space and other stupid stuff like that.

its been awhile since last post...been crazy around here but i did however narrow my choices down to i believe 3. i took the advise and stayed away from ny vehicles for the
rust issue. here a link to all 3...check them out and respond. they all have their pros and cons still..but i do also have questions. lol

my couple of questions as well as some pre answers for anyone that might see these...
if i spent the cash on the cheep one...id want a bigger lift. i can get a 6.5in lift for it, just worried that with only 31's it would look weird. also the rear main is leaking. which is not a big deal for me as a i work and a jeep dealership lol plus dont know much about the 92's. the 2 door worries me with my kids. this is going to be my daily driver and im not sure if the 2 door is going to be a pain when trying to load the kids up. also while im glad it has a bunch of new parts...that fact alone worries me a bit to. finally the last one ive talked to this guy already and everything is fresh and or redone. its the year, lift size, tire size, everything i was looking for lol only problem is, even after he came down im still about $500 over my budget. so is it worth the attempt to try and gather that extra $$$ up? or would it be better to start with one of the others and go from there? thanks guys

I like the first one, but milage is not stated. The last one though is probably the best deal.

The 2-door wouldn't be good (especially lifted) for a family rig...at least as a DD.
The first one is a great deal.....
But the third one is too....especially for a late model, AND having a decent amount already done to it.
It'll come down to whether or not you want to spend the extra cash.
Late models are nice, but so is having extra money.

so whats your thoughs on getting the first one ($1700) and changing the 4.5 lift out for a 6.5 lift and keeping the 31s? i just sent the guy a text to try and get the miles on it....still waiting

It can be done depending on how much of a 4.5" kit was used in the first place
