Sweet! Glad you're getting some stuff done! 3" of lift, plus tires that are 3" taller will gain you 4.5 inches of lift. With tires, you measure distance from the center hub to the edge of the tire to find the added height

I have a 3" RC lift with 30.5 tires and even after extending my bump stops both from and rear I still have issues with my rear tires stuffing in far enough in that it stops my forward momentum. Ill have to keep an eye on this to see how you do since new tires are in my near future.

Have u got pics of yours at flex...would think 3 inch lift and 30inch fiber be sweet.....

I will take more pictures tomorrow probably I got it tonight so I couldn't get any good ones yet. But I do have 31's and they shaved down a little bit off my fenders I'm pretty sure so they don't rub. And ill make sure I get a flexing shot when I can hahah!!

I hit the RTI ramp for the first time last weekend and didn't do very well. My front wheels still had room even with 4" of hockey pucks but my right rear was crammed in the well. Ill have to take pictures next time but trail rides don't give me a real chance to flex out.

What's the backspacing on your rims? I'm at 5.5 right now on 3" lift with 29" tires... I've seen it recommended that at ~31" backspacing should be around 4.5" to help the tires stuff into the fenders better.

I'm not sure what the back spacing is to be honest with you. They are I believe 16" Rubicon rims from a TJ if I'm not mistaken.

If they're from the Rubicon (Moab Wheels) then you have 5" of backspacing. If they're from any other trim level of the TJ then you have 5.5" of backspacing. Mine are from a TJ as well but they are the Canyon Wheels.

The reference I'm using is "High-Performance Jeep Cherokee XJ Builder's Guide" (Highly recommended) There's a table on page 47.

Tire Size Lift Recommended Backspacing
30 x 9.50 2" Stock (5.25")
31 x 10.50 3" 5.25" - 4.5"
32 x 11.50 4.5" 4.75" - 3.75"

Anyways... thinking about it geometrically, the further out the tires are, the further the axle can tilt before the tire makes contact. Hope this helps! :D

Yeah I really can't complain, I've only had issues with stuffing the rear fenders when I removed the rear sway bar.

Testing the suspension at Citrus WMA back in January.
