So i was feed up with either ripping out the upper shock mounts on JK or snapping the bolt trying to change out shocks so we decided to FAB up a new mount.

We used 2"x3" box steel and cut to length from out side of frame on drivers to out side of passanger directly above the rear axle. welded 3"x4" tabs on each end and set it up there to get the right pitch for where we wanted to mount the shocks, marked those locations and then welded pins to those locations. we then put the whole thing in place and welded it to the frame on both sides.

Works great and adds support to the uni-body in the rear.

Nice thing about that is that you can position them where you want

Looks lie im going to be taking the new shock mount out to reconfigure it with "bump stops". for some reason i did not think of that when we built and installed it.

That is all part of making stuff from scratch. I always redo stuff too to make it better
