Sad universal JOINT question... PLZ HELP

Last night we tore into my front end, the wheel bearing needs replaced and the universal joint is completely shot. My question is the axle moves around, is that because the u-joint is shot or is there a bearing inside the axle tube? My plan is to just fix the u-joint and the wheel bearing, the driver side looks good there is no play at all. Help me out on this guys.

Oh there is about a half turn of play in my front drive shaft where it goes from the diff to the front axle?????

Heres the deal

i started to tear down my front end...... The wheel bearing needs replace(have that) the u-jount is shot.... Got that. The shaft that goes into the axle is really wobbley and moves around. Is there any kind of bearing on the axle at the opening or is the hub the bearing for it????

Short side or long side with or without central axle disconnect?

If you pull the axle, is it long or short on the passenger side?

Passenger side. The driver side looks good and dont qobble or shake.

it will wobble some with out the hub bearing on it. There is no other bearing on the axle shaft except for the hub bearing. Other than that the axle goes through a seal before it slides into the spider gears in the diff.

Thank you guys for the info. I changed the ujoint and wheel bearing today. Broke a breaker bar in half and smashed my finger in vise. Lol it thankfully dont shake and wobble anymore. There is still a little bit of shaking but idk where it is coming from. I got the other wheel hub to do the other side but i dont think its bad.

Every xj ive ever driven had a shake or wobble at some speed. The wobble/shake on mine is between 45-47 mph
