Haven't tried the E3s yet. I bought the Accell tune up kit when I did mine and it came with their plugs. They work but honestly I think I ran a little smoother with the plain ol Champion truck plugs that everyone and their brother recommends. At around $2 per plug, I don't mind changing them a little more often.

Stock lifetime set is the best bang for your Buck!

The 4.0 is an old school motor with some new stuff on it for emissions reasons. It really doesn't respond well to fancy plugs and such the way a newer motor will. It really needs the old school plugs to run right.

I will second Steve's statement, Champion copper plugs , regular wires, Cap , rotor and o2 sensor is the best tune up you can do and she will love ya for it. There will be plenty of time to spend big $$ on her but this aint it !!!

I run the Performance Distributors' Firepower ignition kit, and that comes with upgraded wires. At that time i put Bosch platinums in. Smoothed the motor right out, hard to even tell its running by feel.

If you choose NAPA Champion RC12ECC plugs MO30 Cap and MO31 Rotor. They also sell some good 7mm wires. I can't recall the name of them.

I just did a tune up on the jeep. I put autolite platinum plug in mine and I changed the gap from stock .035 to .040 just to get a little more fire in the combustion chamber. i also put the borg warner coil on it with the nascar select wires from oriellys. Runs a lot smoother than the bosch double platinums did

Gonna check that out! I rand the accel racing tune up kit the 8 mm wires are great but I agree with what the other poster said about the plugs :) thanks
