Hello everyone;

I hope I am welcome here because my current ride is a 91 Comanche. However I have owned several XJs in the past, a 93, 95, and 01. I recently retired from working for Uncle and needed a pickup, it had to be a Jeep, so the MJ fits the bill. From the cab forward it's the same animal as an XJ. It has a 4.6L Hesco stroker engine, 01 intake, Mike Leach headers, K&N, and a custom dual exhaust. Also a Dana 44 rear, 31" Michelins, and 4.10 gears. Amenities include power windows, locks, antenna, and buckets all from XJ Laredo models.

We are a longtime Jeep family, and the better half's ride is a 2012 JK Unlimited. Both our daughters serve as active duty LTs in the military, one in the Army, the other in the Air Force. Both drive Wranglers. I am retired USN, and neither one wanted any part of the Navy. I don't know what's wrong with them. :rotfl2:

Anyhow, looking forward to meeting everyone and sharing knowledge with all. The mini-fleet:

Hi Don, I was in the six fathom navy (USCG) Ran Jeeps and such since I was 15 which is farther back than I would admit. Nice looking rides all

You had it made then. If the unthinkable ever happened, all you had to do was wade ashore. :D

Seriously though, I was in the CG reserve for a few years between USN tours doing SAR duty on Chesapeake Bay. Loved it.

Thanks mate. I'm one of the mods on the Comanche Club and we have a few members from Oz who have MJs. Don't know how they got them there though.........

Theres been a coupla pre-1994 XJ oddities down here too ... mostly imported & RHD converted I think ... but it may be - there was also some RHD test vehicles left behind when Jeep Aust folded ???

Hey Don, welcome to Xjtalk. And you are always welcome. Love the mj. The hood, motor, color, very nice. Did you put the fender lights and amber turn signals on?

Thanks for the kind words all. And yes, I did all the work myself (except build the stroker). Here's a link to a lot of before and after pics:
