Whatup Whatup.... new to the forum and wanted to ask a question about an XJ i might be trading for.

I have a 2005 yamaha r6 with a blown motor.(chain broke and wrapped around the front sprocket breaking the crank case and ruining the transmission) I have a friend with a 93 2wd XJ 2dr sport with the I6. 190k with a rebuilt tranny about 30k ago.

He is going to do a straight trade, bike for XJ, just curious the input from fellow XJ owners if this is a deal you would make??

That depends on what you want the XJ for. If you are looking for a dependable station wagon, then yes. If you are looking for a wheeling rig then I would hold out for a 4WD model. They can be converted, but you have to replace the tranny, get the transfer case, front driveling, front axle and shift linkage. Cost varies by part of the country and whether or not you can access a pick and pull
