Morning everyone!

I found xjtalk while surfing the net for info on my xj. She's a 1994, AW4 with 4.0L MPI getting up there in the years. She been neglected, it was my weekend fun vehicle but I don't dare drive it too far.

Its been needing more and more repairs in the last couple of years and take her to a shop is getting expensive. I love my jeep and want to keep her as long as I can, so I'm trying to learn and do as much of the work as I can.

The latest is a leak some where with the radiator, I haven't found the leak yet. Its odd, it only seems to leak after its been driven/parked and I come back to a small puddle. But when I get home, no puddle.... I've checked before leaving the house and the radiator and the spare bottle looks good.

I don't have a garage so I'm debating whether to attempt to replace myself or to a shop and do I go with all metal (2 core) or alum/plastic (one core).

My 2nd project for 2013 is to replace the fuel injectors, I've done enough research (pictures/video helped), I feel good about tackling it myself.

Welcome to the family. Stock or modified we all get along here. There's no hating or anything like that. If ya ever have questions feel free to ask there's some great XJ gurus on here. There's always someone on to help or point you in the right direction. That's why I think it's the best site for XJ's online. So don't just sit back and watch jump on in and and have a blast. :D

Welcome to the family, Sam.

The main advice i can give on radiators is don't go with ReadyRad. Just spent two weeks replacing mine due to design errors with their products. The frame of their radiator has extra material and has to be cut/ground to fit the fan shroud and a couple others. If you do end up having to give up your old radiator for core/warranty/whateva be sure to keep all the old hardware, mainly the top mounting bushings, trans fittings, and that plastic connector on the lower trans line.

Feel free to put up some pics of your pride and joy when ya get a chance. Thanks for joining.
