heres the problem as he wrote it down for me....

digital display on speedo not working..
column auto , overdrive button on end of column not appearing to work..

http://i469.photobucket.com/albums/rr52/cantab27/484027_283071335149270_514545339_n.jpg

while driving it clunks into top gear and overdrive but if i hold it in 2nd gear and drive quite quick , i can put it into overdrive without the clunking into gear...
things done
sender unit in diff has been replaced but didn't fix problem ..

has been converted from left hand drive to right hand ....
could it be wiring loom has been dis-attached from back of speedo housing ..??
finds all gears well....

any thoughts on this folks ..will post pics soon

The digital issue could and most likely is the wiring loom. The changing gear issue sounds like tranny is about to go. Possible 2nd and Overdrive are ready to give out. And when they do it ain't gonna be pretty. That happened on a 95 GMC Serria I had.

When was the last time the tranny fluid was changed? I would check that plug and ground on the back of the cluster first

the digital display going out is a common ford truck problem. it is the cluster, no way to fix it without a new cluster.

Wouldn't pay much for it especially since you're gonna need a new tranny in the very near future. I see those with less than 200k on the good ole 7.3 PSD go for less than 2k here all the time. I sold my 4wd 96 F350 PSD with 250k on it for $1600 about 4 years ago and got a Cummins. No more stroking for me.

Didn't notice you were on the other side of the globe. Hope you aren't saying it's 30 grand cause it was barely that here when it was new if it was that much.

Thats a E4OD transmission and is completely electronically controlled, I would check all sensors and wireing to the trans and computer (it has one just for the trans) this being said the E4OD is not the greatest of trannys and is prone to go out, especially behind the 7.3. Keep in mind its the same trans I have in my lighter, less horse power Bronco. The only good part is in 95 they did a bunch of upgrades to improve its performance. If this is a rebuilt though you may have gotten one that was pre 95. If all the electronics check out its new tranny time , sorry

Do you have to convert it to RHD? Here in the states they'll allow a RHD if its for mail routes or it was manufactured that way...
