Turn signal help

this has occurred on the last two extended trips the 01 has taken. turn signals work fine when you start. Part way through the trip,neither work. the right and left indicators on the dash light and that's it. No clicking either. leave them alone for 15 minutes and they work fine again. the headlights are usually on when this occurrs and the tilt steering wheel is never adjusted. turn signal flasher overheating?

All the bulbs work on the outside when this happens?

don't know. I could not tell while I was driving

OK This is an important thing to know because for most flashers, if one bulb is not working, they will not flash but stay on constantly.

My was doing that recently, so I replaced the flasher. Everything works great now. The best one I found is the EP27. Got it at AutoZone.

EP27 installed today.
