Did a search and didn't find much, but can anyone tell me if there are any differences between the steering on a 99 XJ versus a 87? Someone I know needs to replace a bent draglink and a friend of mine has a 87 parts rig. Thanks.

Well I might be wrong... but after looking on AZ's part finder, putting in both the 99 as well as the 87 as my vehicles... it shows two different drag links for those vehicles.. so I'm going to say it might work temporarily... heck it might even work permenately, but might have some rubbing or contacting of other components... it looks as if the arch in the drag link is in a different location on the two... but if he has one... can't hurt to give it a try and see.. and if not, then he can always pick one up from the parts store for like $35-40... Plus if he does pick up a brand new one, he'll have all new TRE's on it... but like I said, it isn't that hard to pull, might as well give it a whirl, and if not then no harm no foul really!!

It will work fine. The older one just has a little more curve to clear the disconnect assembly on the older d30
