Hi az350x, welcome to the xjtalk forum!

We would love to know more about you and your Jeep. How you found us, etc...

Be sure and check out our XJ TALK SHOW! (http://podcasts.xjtalk.com) It\'s about Cherokees! It\'s like a radio talk show, but from the Internet.

Check out our sister sites, http://www.WranglerTalk.com/ and http://www.di-dah-dit.com/

Thank ya- thank ya very much... :)

Ok. Well, for starters, I don't actually OWN a Jeep. My 20 year-old son just bought a '90 XJ, and me being the more mechanically-inclined of the duo, I decided I needed to pursue some information on a forum such as this. He's shipping out this spring to the Air Force Reserve, so I MIGHT find myself with an off-road toy for a bit while he's gone... (hope he doesn't read this, lol).

Anyway, as I said it's a '90 Laredo, 4.0 with 138k. Sits on 33's with some sort of lift. Has a roof rack and nice front bumper. Needs some TLC if you ask me, but even though the fenders are cut and it's looking 22 years-old, I must say that the body is very straight, and most of the work needed is just elbow grease and TLC. Being an Arizona rig, there's only rust on some things like the shocks, etc. No signs whatsoever of body rot, fortunately.

I'm likely to be asking a few questions (have a couple already!). Thanks for the welcome.

Ciao.

Welcome to the forum. I think you will find we are a friendly lot, and we don't flame if you don't have $50K tied up in your rig.

I found this forum looking for a place to ask questions and make some modifications to my XJ on a family man's budget. I really enjoy my XJ, but it can't be the sole thing in my life, and this forum did not flame me for that.

Once again, welcome.

Welcome to :xjtalk: from Delaware/Maryland!! Congrats to your son for signing up, and I wish him luck with BMT and tech school afterwards!! As far as the XJ... feel free to throw up any questions you have or come up with... I'm sure he'll love getting the XJ back after his training is over in good running order...
