Hey everyone thanks for allowing me into the forums. I have big dreams for my XJ lol. I don't have very much mechanical experience but I am going to learn as I build. I have a stock 4.0l auto Cherokee sport that my dad gave me because he bought a new car. I have my fair share of fun in it but am hoping to have BIGGER and better fun with her as time progresses.

Welcome to the site, Dylan.

Be sure to research, ask questions, and have a plan before you start building. Big builds tend to take a long time and sometimes without a plan, things can get... redundant or even start to go in the wrong direction. I've made this mistake, so i speak from experience. I know big tires and lifts can get exciting but there's things that need to be addressed first if you are going big. Such as, before you go big with lift and tires, strengthen your "frame". Its gonna need to happen anyway and that way the vehicle isn't set up after the lift because you don't want to tweak the chassis. Things can get irritating at that point and you can loose interest.

There's always someone here that can help ya or point ya in the right direction. Plus we have several XJ gurus on this site. I was a newbie to a few yrs ago myself.
