Im at 6" with an 8.8 and the stock d35 driveshaft, it is hating life right now.

Im going to clearance the yoke to get me through until after Christmas, but am planning on a HNT or SYE after.
My question is:
Will a stock front driveshaft be OK to use with the SYE at 6" or is it too short?
Web wheelers with 3" and no experience with taller lifts need not apply.
Thanks

It will work fine as Jim said, but do yourself a favor and hold out for the SYE , the hack and taps are tough to get right . Also if you clearance your yoke to between 28* and 34* you might not have to use a sye as long as the angles are within the 1* rule .

I plan on clearancing the yoke this weekend, need to get a 12point socket to get those stupid 8.8 bolts out. (gonna buy 6point replacements)
The pinion is pointed at the tcase, I think the guy that had it before me had a CV rear shaft.
We will see what happens...

As stated the HnT is tough to get right. The hardest part is drilling straight and centered on the shaft. If you get some help to spot the drill it will help

The NAXJA Midwest president lives 10 mins from me, he was going to help. Says hes done a few and had it down to a science.
