You will need either 4.10 or 4.56. 4.27 is not available. If you are going to lock 33s it would be better to make sure you have the 29 spline axles. If not, you can get the axles and use the 29 spline Spartan.

I would say unless you can source axles and do fab work yourself... I would stick with just building the D30/Chr. 8.25 that you have, to include making sure or doing the upgrade to the 29spline 8.25.. I would say look for local Jeep clubs/forums and see if you cant find someone on there who is the resident gear swapper... that is what I did as it would run me over $1200+ to get my axles regeared at any of the local shops, but found a local guy who said he'd do them for $300 if I purchase the gears, oil and master install kits... as well as any lockers/diff covers I want to install at the time... I have been running my HP D30/29 spline 8.25 w/ 3.55 and 33's as a DD for almost two years now and have had no real loss in gas mileage/pickup from prior to the 33's... so you could always make due with the 3.55's until you can afford the regear if money is tight..

You can just change axle shafts to do that
