How much lift can one go before needing to do a slip yoke eliminator?
I'm sure we have answered this before but I cant find a thread on it thanks!

depends on who you ask.

here is my 2cents

4.5 is max with tc drop and stock driveshaft

anything more you have to lengthen the driveshaft so just upgrade to sye

anything more you have to lengthen the driveshaft so just upgrade to sye X2, I have 6.5and have one, 4.5" I would have one too

Well I'm sitting at 7.5" of lift w/ a TC drop... but it was a temp solution until I could get the SYE and DS upgrade...

A SYE is a must then. I didn't use a drop bracket. I shimmed the rear end 4 deg, and it lined up perfect.

I just did a 4.5 inch lift on mine and a 1 inch tcase drop and it holds up and drives just like stock but Im really looking to do a sye soon because its going to be a daily driver and I don't want to cut any corners and risk breaking something
