Passenger door lock

for some reason it wont unlock and it is snowing here, I really need to get this door open because climbing over to get in the passenger side is not an option for my wife, any ideas what i should do?

Is the mechanism stuck so that the key won't open it or is the electric lock not working?

It was the key , it would turn and felt like it was unlocking but it wasn't. I kept doing this until i got it to unlock..yes! not sure how to prevent from happening again so I'm just not going to lock that door for now..

Sounds like it might need some basic lubrication. The grease gets hard when it ages. Some penetrating oil will help loosen that stuff up. But you will need to pull the panel though. Also you can put graphite in the locking mechanism
