Poll What color should I paint the Boat

So I need your opinion on what color to paint my 61 Galaxie. My goal is to have the firewall painted by the end of the year. I'm just hung up on what color. So vote away, and if ya have a different color in mind post away

Old iron with lots of chrome always goes good with a nice glossy black. Leave the top white if you want. My son's 58 Ranchero is black and looks awesome

I like the old cars to stay with factory colors if the goal is to stay mostly factory in appearance. If your going for a hot rod or custom then it should be what your willing to live with and in that case the orange isn't a bad color or an orange/black two tone.

It has a custom paint job on it now. The metal flakes are so big you'll cut your hands on them.

I like the orange, but it needs a blower or 2 4 barrel tunnel ram sticking out of the hood.

I like the orange, and instead of a blower why not go with Halibrand fuel injection sticking through the hood, the eight tuned stacks would just look cool. You could even paint the tops the same orange.

Well funny you ask. I now own 2 cars that have a poor or no aftermarket support (Sunbeam Alpine & 61 Ford Galaxie) So i'm leaning more to a restomod vers all original

If your going restomod then the orange looks nice. Personally i don't think the yellow or green fit the car. I do have to agree with Steve, black on that boat would look slick. A deep maroon seems like a good color for a classic as such. I feel it needs a darker color in general.

I would say green. but it would have a classy look if ya went towards the glossy or metallic look. :driving:
