Today I kept getting this 800# call me. It was from Chase anti-fraud asking about strange charges. I said "I'll call you back." I went to my online account and sure enough there were almost $1200 of charges I didnt make. I called the number on my card and disputed the charges. I also asked if they called and they said no and the number that called me was fraudulent. I very easily could have given away my SS#, DOB, Mothers maiden name, etc.
Im glad I know not to give info to people who call you cause this was a perfect storm for identity theft.
