First of many noobish questions :)

What is this cable used for that runs from my front bumper to my brake pedal?

Interesting. I've never seen one before, but I would assume that your Jeep used to be towed behind something and that cable was brake assist so the tow rig would be able to stop easier. Just like brake assist on trailers.

This is just my assumption though, as I said... I've never seen one ;)

Now that you mention it, it does look like a trailer brake setup.
Ok good, I thought it was some rock crawling cable helping thing that I was just lost on. :D

Yeah I would think its a break away cable also. And yes it is kinda sketchy but looks like it would work. I did something similar on a old chevy truck. Except I ran the cable from the e-brake pedal to the break pedal. That way the e-brake would hold enough to pass inspection, since it was a swapped in 9" ford rearend.
