I just did an ARB on my 92, you cut off the intake off the filter box and glue/silicone on the new part over the cut out you just made. The new part has a tube to put the hose on. The hose runs through a hole you cut in the wheel well under the new part and air filter box. There is also a hole cut in the fender for the Snorkle to pass through. you then hook up the other end of the hose to the snorkle and you are mostly done.

This write up might be more use to you .... --> http://www.noeither.com/cherokee/tech/SNORKEL.php

You need to modify the airbox ... and maybe relocate the windscreen washer bottle if its in the fender.

The "stock" intake setup, drawing air from the front of the vehicle was deleted in later models.

The airbox the snorkles suit - only have an opening that draws in air from the engine bay.

That kit does look like it has a small piece that goes on the front of the air box. Hard to tell for sure from the add pic. But with that long tube that is what it looks like. I question the diameter of the flex tube. It needs to be 3" in diameter. The best way I think is to go into the back of the box and seal off the front. But just my opinion

Easy. Use a piece of tin, sheet metal or plastic a little larger than the hole. Clean surfaces and use the metalized duct tape. If it is up to the new specs, it will stick there for about a hundred years and it will seal it nicely. What ever is left can be used for other sealing projects or your own duct work and save you a couple of bucks.

We have a vendor that sells those in China. $120 shipping I believe. We did a giveaway on one a few months ago. The first one the member received had a hole in it where the plastic was too thin in the mold. They sent him another one.

Looking at the installation instructions they have a flexible hose that runs inside the fender well, yes where the tire is, and then up into the bottom of the air box.

If I was to get one of these China snorkels, I wouldn't run the hose that way.

I think the one you are looking at is $126, $46 + $80 shipping. So that's about the standard price for those snorkel copies from China.

Personally I'm going with an Airflow snorkel since I have the Bushwacker flares. Also one of our vendors... :link: (http://www.jeepinoutfitters.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=550)

I dont like the way that flex pipe routes. It restricts flow. I do like how this guy did his though. http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1080649
