Ofcoarseeee i dont blow my rear end wheeling i blow it going to school.....
Anyone got new gears or a whole axle thats on long island they wanna sell mee??????:bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang :

Mike, if you are going for a complete unit, the cheapest way to go, opt for a 97 and up 8.25. I realize NY is not the best place to source one, but it will be worth it to have the stronger axle assembly.

I have a Ford 8.8 with 3.56"s and disc brakes, and ebrake cable attached. Out of a 98 explorer with 118 K. If you are interested, send me a PM. I live in NW NJ.

I would go for that but i need somthing that will match up without having to reweld anything

Check the strings on the F8.8. All you have to do is cut off the sway bar brackets and buy an adapter for the pinion to couple up to an XJ rear drive shaft. The F8.8 flange to flange dim is 59.5" The XJ is 58". Otherwise I believe its a bolt in. Don't take my word for it though. Check out the strings on it.

Oops. Welding is needed for the spring perches. If you want to read up on the swap anyway, here's a link to a thread about it.
