Does anyone know if a np231 out of a 94 Tj will fit in my 98 Xj?I want to purchase it if it does so I can put a slip yoke eliminator kit inside. That would make the down time minimal.:D

You can bolt it up, but it is clocked higher than the XJ version. You would have to cut the floorboard out and redo the seat pedicel

94 TJ? Are you sure it wasn't a 96?

'87-'95, no wranglers were produced that are known as '96s. At least in the States.

Ok, thanks for the info.I found another guy that is trying to sell me a NP231 out of a 94Yj with a S.Y.E.I told him the clocking was wrong between the Yj and the Xj.He still insists it will fit.:rolleye0012:

You have one other option, Advance Adapters I think sells a clocking ring. You might give them a call and see if it will pencil out

If you go that route please report back to us and let us know the cost. You may want to do a write up to be posted for others who may want to do a similar project in the future.
