Well, first thing. Tell us more about your jeeps and what you would like out of them. The question you've asked is sooo wide open without more info we wouldn't much help.

What are you looking to do with them? Any problems they have that you want to address?

Welcome to the site, Victor. Hope we can help ya out.

The white 91 has a hesitation Friday i am replacing the crankshaft position sensor. other then that it is strong it has 236,000 mi. I want to fix the cosmetics. lift 6in. get the most power out of the 4.0 HO I know its old but i like a challange. all on a budget. I dont know where to start(besides the sensor) and I dont know if I am paying to much for stuff. and I am not sure whitch rear I have it is not really rounded it was from florida I bought it from a gut at work for 400.00 i put up pics

Looks pretty good on rust for being in Florida, good score!

236k is just fine on a "cared for" 4.0l. Many make it to 300k+, have even seen a 600k+ XJ. Just care for them and they'll repay the favor in most cases.

For the rear axle in '91 there were two options. Dana 35 c-clip which came in most XJ's of that year, as well as all abs equipped cherokees. The other is the bigger/stronger Chrysler 8.25" (named for the size of its ring gear) that usually came in XJs equipped with towing packages. None of the XJs that had this axle also had abs. The main ways to tell the difference between the two are the Chrysler axle will have a squared off section on the bottom of the pumpkin (easily seen from the back of the vehicle), the pumpkin is bigger around, and there are four prongs that stick up on the top front of the pumpkin (pinion area).

First thing i would do is convert the white one to a 4wd using the other one. Everything will bolt in place.

The 4x4 has less miles and really needs a tune up but there
Are a few places that has a bunch of xjs (junk yards). I am going to take
Better pics to day thanks for all the info I will check the rear
When I get out of work

Since its usually easy and cost affective to swap out for an 8.25" and such an upgrade i just suggest that. The 35 is usually only good up to 31s, maybe 33s, all depending on how you drive it. But the 8.25" can handle 35s. I you do swap out for an 8.25" go for a 97+ since that'll have 29 spline shafts versus the 27 spline of older years.

I myself am still learning on things like your shuddering problem. There is other members that are currently dealing with similar problems, their threads may give you some valuable info.
