Does anyone know if it's possible to install the below '94 - '99 Pacesetter header on a '00 4.0L? I can't afford nor do I want to spend the $480+ on a Banks header and I would like to replace/upgrade my stock manifold that's cracked and leaking.

Thanks for any help! :D

No, it won't fit properly. The exhaust ports of the '00-'01 XJ cylinder heads are smaller and located slightly differently than in the earlier heads so you'll need a header that's specific for your model. Unfortunately the only two choices available at http://www.summitracing.com/search/Year/2000/Make/JEEP/Model/CHEROKEE/Department/Exhaust/Section/Headers/?Ns=Rank%7cAsc are very expensive so your best solution is to find a stock junkyard replacement. I don't think you'd gain enough HP from either of those aftermarket headers to be worth the money anyway so save it for something else.

That sucks, but at least XJ's are everywhere here so a j/y one should be easy to find.

Spend the extra $ on the gale banks engineering header,it's well worth the extra cash. It's high quality and it has a 5 year warranty,I have one on my 98.[URL="http://i573.photobucket.com/albums/ss179/jeepster19/3b1f274575a2ab78a4496b82762745e2.jpg

I'm gonna get the Gale Banks header. It's about $100 more than replacing the stock units with dorman units and the Banks header offers more benefits. Also gonna do a universal magnaflow 2"in/2-1/4"out hi-flow cat and dynomax exhaust.

Just a heads up on the header install, the bolts are pretty tricky to get too.I had to buy a crows foot to get the one bolt torqued underneath to the right of the center tube. Its also a good time to pull the fuel rail off so you can change the o-rings and properly torque all the bolts on the header. Here's the o-ring part number if you go that route.http://i573.photobucket.com/albums/ss179/jeepster19/81d1dfcc3066d2de565e874a932369dc.jpg
