Hi, I just bought a 1999 red Jeep Cherokee and I want to replace a part on the doors, but I don't know what it is called. I've spent a couple of hours searching and the closest thing I found was a "skin", but I'm not sure if it is the same thing. I will attach a picture of the thing I'm trying to replace. Also could someone tell me of a good site to order replacement parts form, specifically the piece I'm looking for. Thank you.

They made two kinds. One that would accept paint, and most that would not.

Thank you. I had already found the Jeep center diagram (http://www.jeep4x4center.com/jeep-body-parts/cherokee-xj.htm), but I have trouble navigating the site. The closest thing that I could find after searching for molding was this (http://www.jeep4x4center.com/chrome-body-side-molding-set-of-4-82211183.html), but it isn't the right one. I do want a new replacement, however a used one will suffice. I appear to have the ones that are not painted.

I bought it form a 60 year old man and he maintained it very well. The interior is in mint condition.

Rip them off, like everyone with a 97+ should. :puke:

Thanks. The autopartmaster site has the part I'm looking for. Tearing them off does sound cheaper, but I'm trying to make the exterior as nice as the interior. Again thanks so~ much for the help everyone. Be well.
