Greetings and Howdy struggling a little with format first time blogging.. I live in The Black Hills of South Dakota. We had our first taste of snow for the year last night. I own a "97" Xj 6cy /5 speed Ax-15 / 2 inch lift / Carnage off road bumper/ Warn 10,000 lb winch / KN air intake/ Headers/ flow thru exhaust/ roof rack besides that its stock and straight 181,000 miles I started working on it about a year ago it was bone stock when I bought it. I Use it as my daily driver and a little trail action when I go gold prospcting, metal detecting and exploring, would appreciate any advise on toughing it up a little. Thanks for the welcome and your time and effort......Best Regards....Phil

The trails here are as good or as bad as you want to risk. mainly looking for upgrade and strenghting of transmission, clutch, drivetrain and possable upgrade on horse power in engine when I decide to rebuild. Thanks for your time..Phil Obviously I am not a jeep expert but i think it would take a Barbie to know a Barbie jeep!!

OK Phil. No problem. But it would help us if you filled in your vehicle info in the User CP (http://www.xjtalk.com/profile.php?do=editprofile). There is some variation in the running gear for these Jeeps and that will give us a good place to start. If you need help identifying your axles and transfer case and transmission, let us know.
