One word, snipers.

East Oakland is the largest district and has the most amount of residents. It also has the most amount of crime and makes up more than half of Oakland's crime. Not all of Oakland is bad actually. I work in the Rockridge district and it's freakin sweet! Old money and college educated folks. Claremont is wicked nice as well. And so are the Oakland hills. But West and East Oakland are just not great areas. The kicker part is that geographically, we have it the best. Best weather, cheap as shit to live. My mortgage is $932. And we're in a pivot point to where I can get from one town to another.
On a good note. I contacted the reporter and he forwarded my info. I talked to the lady today. I'm going to fix her car for her. She's going to come over in a few hours. She's a really nice lady.
