Wow Amber, you clean up good. Sorry about the wedding date mistake. I am used to the reception being after the wedding. But what do I know?

Thanks! Thats fine, usually the reception is after the wedding but where we've decided to have the wedding is a small area up in the mountains so we decided to do a reception first that way we can see everyone

Check out your local brew shop. They have the knowledge and stuff you need. Paul makes award winning dark ale. But his has a real kick to it. It is the kind you sip, not chug.

Hm, I'll have to stop by a local brew shop sometime...

...how hard is the process?

4.3LXJ

It is not hard in itself. There are some sterility issues involved. Don't want to contaminate your yeast etc. Also, getting good hops from them is part of it. It also depends on what kind of beer you want to end up with. Paul doesn't bottle. He kegs. He uses the soda pop cylinders like pop machines use. You can get fancy and rig up a small apartment sized fridge to chill it and have beer on tap. But maybe you should put a combination lock on the tap just for giggles for the hubby. After he negotiates the obstacle course :D

I'll have to go get more info on this...I wouldnt mind brewing my own brewski lol

I have a better ides, get those child locks that go over the door handles, he'll be screwin with those for awhile just to try to get them off

So he never got them figured out when he was a child?

I was thinking it would be fun to change the combination every couple of weeks

That would work too, and make it so that the door only opens enough to get a few fingers threw

ha, so many endless possibilities

No local shop for me so I get everything here: http://www.austinhomebrew.com/

If you can boil water, you can brew beer. Wife was cleaning things out last weekend and found a Belgian Wit I brewed at LEAST 3 years ago. A belgian isn't one that improves with time, but DAMN it was good. Got 2 batches I need to bottle right now. Coal Porter and another Wit. then its Oktoberfest in the boiler.
