I bought a used trailer hitch for my rig and was wondering about where the HECK the bolts are supposed to bolt into. :bang: There is no hardware with the hitch and none in the jeep. any help on where to get something into those frame rails would be a big help. :sign0181:
I searched, but couldn't find what I needed.

Might be an idea to post a pic of the hitch ??

Down here ... most of em utilise the fuel tank bash plate mounts.

You need the nut strips, JCR sells them as do most hitch dealers.

I personally like (and use) the JCR nut strips, because you use larger hardware.
You could probably go to U-haul and grab an installation kit....it's be oem, and tougher to install than a nut strip, they're usually just a rectangular nut that you have to fish into the frame rails... (3-5 per side = PITA)
you could TRY to find the OEM ones off of an XJ with a tow package from the JY... but more than likely its gonna be a rusty mess.
