Short control arms?

I'm thinking while I'm looking at how the short arms on my Jeep have the axle an inch or so too far back. What would one suppose these short arms would be like on a 3 or 3.5" lift opposed to my 4.5" lift?
Would it possibly keep the axle a bit more centered?

Yup lower the lift some and it will move your axle forward some
