How did yo manage that Pook? Those are rare. So next question smarty, what engine did it have in it?

The amount of useless information that I have crammed into my head is just out standing! Plus I just like odd and unique things. The factory fishing rod holder built into this truck was just genius!

As for what engine it had in it, depends on what day they built it! from what I remember they stole parts from all sorts of different cars to make this. most likely it had a inline 6, flat head. apparently each one was unique.

very cool piece of automotive history!

And to be totally honest I knew of this truck, seen pics of them before, heard their story, but Google helped on the name! :rolleye0012:

You are a genius. From 1955 to 1956 Powell manufactured 1000 pic up trucks and 300 station wagons it is unknown how many deluxe models were made. They were marketed as camping vehicals. They had two, 6 foot long drawers for fishing poles and another drawer under the tail gate for a tackle box. I sold mine in 2009 to a car collector in new zeland. I would love to have it back but I like my mighty mite better.

yes sir!, don't know what it is about it but i just love that little car!

The Lancia was designed by one of the greats, Bertone He was usually ahead of his time and the F-40 Ferrari was a take off of his design for the Lancia Stratos done by Pininfarina. The Lancia Stratos is a very fine driving machine if you have no luggage to carry. just like the F-40 fitted luggage could be had, but it held little. The only Italia car I ever owned was a 365 GT spyder, loved that car. Had a friend with one of the Lancia's.

BTW my wife is from Alberta and we will be making a trip up next summer to see the kids and grandkids. Will let you know and maybe we can do a meet and greet.
