Where is the temp gauge sensor?

whats up guys 95 cherokee sport 4.0 i got a temp gauge i don t know were to put the senor it i have one in the back of the heat drive side and one in the thermostat in the front were do i put it the gauge i got is a sunpro and the sensor it have is to long to put in the back one i want to put it in the rite place plzz help

If I remember right the one at the back of the engine is the one for the sensor/gauge, the one at the front is for the electrical fan...

I am sure someone will post up and confirm/deny that though.
