:welcome: to xjtalk from Delaware/Maryland!! Like Steve asked, what parts are you looking for, you'd be surprised what kind of parts can be sourced right here alone, if not found fairly easily by the awesome folks here!!

Looking for things like headlight and running light trims, Front grill and turn signals. Seems everyone I've seen so far has those arts for the Grand Wagoneer but not the limited.

Also having some mechanical issues I can't solve. This is my first Jeep really like driving it and the ability to work on it. Just learning its' idosincracies (sp)

Thanks for the welcome

Gregg, I will need to see the difference in parts on the limited. But for now, what are the mechanical issues? Those I can help you with. It would help if you could fill out your vehicle info in your User CP. If you need help, just ask

The Wagoneer of that year was the FSJ, and the Wagoneer limited was the XJ style if I recall correctly!! In which case they would have different headlight bezels, and well pretty much every part... You can check in with our vendor1ATony might have or be able to track down pats wise for your bezels and such..

Steve, That vendor that's out there by you in Paradise.... Payless4x? Don't they specialize in hard to find parts?

Hard to find OEM parts. But I do have a couple of friends on another forum with FSJs. They come through the pick and pull from time to time too.

If you have the xj waggy I have some turn signal lenses I would sell they been blacked out with paint but look good couple the mounting holes are broken but the bezel will hold them in, take $25.00 shipped for both that's $5.00 each. Plus $15.00 to ship

The wagoneer limited is yes an xj model but has twin headlights on each side (a Highbeam and a low beam, Also the grill is different from the Cherokee as well the turn signals.

As to the mechanical stuff when I start it up it revs up to about 2k then comes down to about 1200rpm. When in gear at a stop light it will be at 1200 rpm if I put it in park it will rev up to 2500 rpm. Changed out the Throttle position sensor no help. All the Vac lines seem to be in place. Also my oil preassure seems low. When I first start in the morning preasure will be around 40lbs as the engine warms up at street speed say 35-45mph I will have around 20lbs. If perchance the rpms at idle are around 800-900 I will have barely any preassure at all. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance

The idle air controller is not working properly. You can clean it to get it to work better. There is an article on that in the how to section.

I will say when my TPS went out, and I replaced it it was still not working correctly until I unhooked my battery for a bit and let the ECM reset and start actually paying attention to the TPS.. never had an issue after that though... just a thought since you replaced your TPS.

Thanks! Funny when I searched their site when I put in my model it gave me the Grand Wagoneer. Which obviously ain't gonna work. Guess I'll have to dig deeper.

Here's how I fixed my low idle:
Just use throttle body cleaner and not carb cleaner.

BTW Welcome aboard! We need more waggys here!

Yep did that went from a high idle spped to a low rumbly idle like it's missing. Actually cleaning the throttle body and IAC didn't help was still idling high until I unpluged the vacum tube that comes out of the throttle body. The idle speed dropped immediately I reattached it and it now idles right where it should and doesn't climb when put in park like it used to. Now just have to figure out why it sounds like it's missing and the nearly non existant oli preassure.

Your oil pressure problem is most likely due to a faulty oil sending unit.

The Jeep Wagoneer was the first luxury 4x4, produced under varying marques from 1963 to 1991. A "sport utility vehicle" (SUV) for decades before the term was even coined, the 4WD Wagoneer saw only minor mechanial changes during its 28-year plus production run, the third longest in US automotive history.

The Wagoneer pioneered the sport utiliy vehicle marketplace, the most car-like 4x4 in spite of its massive boxy shape. Compared with offerings from International Harvester and Land Rover — which were producing utilitarian work-oriented vehicles with spartan truck-like interiors — the Wagoneer's luxury set it apart. Based on the Jeep SJ platform, the revolutionary Wagoneer sported an advanced overhead cam inline 6 cylinder, independent front suspension, and offered features unheard of in any other 4WD vehicle made it at the time such as power steering and automatic transmission.

The Wagoneer made its debut seven years before Land Rover launched its Range Rover in Great Britain, and 24 years before that upscale marque appeared in the United States. It was succeeded by the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Speaking of those Hurricane sixes, they had camshaft problems. My mother broke one doing 20 mph in second gear. Not their best engine.

That was my thought. Thanks for the second opinion.!!
