When I shut it off it sounds like a little girgle sound or a bit of a choking shut off sound? ????
Any thoughts.
Thanks

That's very interesting.... can't put my finger on it. Do you have the capability of recording a video and posting it so we can all hear? For whatever reason, I'm thinking check your air filter, coolant system... maybe a misplaced radiator cap or reservoir cap? Very hard to say without hearing it. Maybe have your son or somebody turn the key off while you are under the hood listening/watching.

I wonder if my exhaust system is bad all the way up to the engine.
All the caps are ok and coolant system is primo.
Hmmm

No nothing bad happening to cause it. Any body that has a vehicle from almost brand new until 178K can hear a change in the slightest sound. I know my exhaust is bad from the cat back, but maybe that exhaust manifold thingie on the side of the engine has a small hole or crack and sounds odd because it's becoming rusted out and needs replacing or a weld.

Using AC?
My guess is above or like others have said about oil flowing back to the pan.

Hmmm, I don't think it's that sounds? I think my jeep went out drinking that one day and it sounds fine now. I can't expain it.

Mine has a slight sound like that. I traced it back to the cat. The honeycomb part on the inside is cracked into two sections from beating on it with a hammer to get it off before and one floats freely in there. When I shut my jeep off it wiggles it and makes a somewhat metalic/gurgle sound somehow.
