Hi all - I have a 92 Cherokee sport and got the skid plate option. My question is I am looking at an 01 classic and was wondering if I can take them off my 92 and bolt them right up to the 01? Thx for any info! (Wish it would be that easy for my trac-lok! ). At 312k, think its time to upgrade:)

IIRC, the front and the TC skid will bolt right up. 97+ has a plastic gas tank, so you will have to do some mods to make it fit.

If the 01 doesn't have a fuel tank skid, it has the sheet metal heat shield. Those can be a PITA to remove because the exhaust hanger is attached through studs that screw into the nut strips. I just spent the past few days cutting and grinding those studs because I wanted to replace the nut strips.

Also, if the 01 didn't come with the gas tank skid or the receiver, you may not have the driver's side nut strip. You have to remove the bumper to install the nutstrip.
