So 413K is in first place.:sign0181: So that is the original transmission? how often to you change the oil and the tranny fluid? What does original bottom end me? Wow I'm a bit in a shocked place right now, 413K. No engine problems at all, no cracked heads, no engine knock, same head gasket, manifold eer get replaced, same fuel injectors?

Wow seriously that's awesome. When you look at a new car and see the price and the price you paid for the jeep and the # of miles you put on the jeep you must think.... no way in hell I'm spending 30K for a new vehicle.

Bottom end means block crank rods pistons ect. The oil pan has never been off. And yes original trans. Heads been surfaced once due to me overheating it.
Injectors where swapped 15k ago with mustang injectors. I change my oil every 2.5-3k and I use delo 15w40 diesel oil.
Trans has been changed by me 40k ago. It's noisy and I have a new engine sitting in my garage. But no need to swap till this one goes boom.

ODO says 170,000K, but I swapped the cluster and it's off by 110,000K. So really it should read 280,000K. But I've run larger tires for awhile, so I'm probably closer to 290,000K.

People are amazed I'm on my original tranny with no work having been done, until I tell them it's a Toyota transmission.

they also took it for a test driveat my request and the said tranny shift very smooth.
so im happy.
ive invest about 3 k in repairs over the last 16 months
all seems well. part if the problem is i had to have the bearing and
rear end done again because the amateur who did it
did a botch job. now an official reliable place did the work

So those of you at 250K, do you have any advice or comments about keeping her running so long? How does it run at 250K, does it stall? Have starting issues? Over heating? Old age problems? Let me know.

4.3LXJ

Project TJResurrection has 357K on it. Runs good except for an injector. Runs good on premium, but misses on regular. We think it will get a new one. But other than that, runs good and many more miles left in it

dagod16
05-31-2013, 11:00 PM
So because of the injector it misses on regular gas but not on primium, hmmmmm. Any advice for those of us keeping our jeeps that long?

Change the oil, don't let it get too hot

dagod16
05-31-2013, 11:35 PM
It has only been over 210 and close to 220 once and that was because of bad radiator. Also how often do you change the oil.

Have you ever done an engine flush or tranny flush or anything like that?

Rob

4.3LXJ
05-31-2013, 11:38 PM
I change every 3-6K. But I use good oil and filters. And I go heavier weight too. Valvoline 20W50 especially in hot weather. I use it in my OBA compressor too

dagod16
06-01-2013, 08:28 AM
Is it the original tranny and engine? Have you had to repair anything over and over again. Like an ac compressor, or the bearings, or something?

Also what year is this jeep that has 350K on it.

Thanks
